DOES ANYONE HAVE THE ANSWER? DOES ANYONE KNOW THE QUESTION?

Religion is a subject that still warms the wax in aged ears. Because of our mortality, there is always that hope that someone has finally really found the guarantee for eternal life with factual proof of that life. Before I shake the very souls of my ancestor's bones, let me state that I have not given up the faith; no, I have as much faith now as I always have. There is one difference between then and now, however. It is called time. That is to say, the day of reckoning is much nearernow than it was in 1960. Oh, I knew that I was a mere mortal nearly fifty years ago, but that knowledge is gaining volume, the wisdom is thickening. Waking in the middle of the night from a dream, I concentrate on its content and hope I can make some sense of it. But dreams leave one hanging and few dreams make sense. Not too long ago, in that thin haze that hangs between reality and dreams I caught a dream like one catches a big fish. It was a whopper. It was a dream filled with wisdom. Could it possibly have been a revealation?

It was if I had the answers to all of the mysteries of the ages. The answers to almost every question I have ever had were right in front of me, carved in the linen sheet, written on the regrigerator door, scrawled on the ceiling, traced in the dust on the back of a black sedan. My coffee tasted better than usual that morning. It isn't everyday that one gains that much wisdom is able to retain it. That's right, every question and curiosity I have ever entertained, answered in factual truths. They were, in my opinion, factual truths. I want to mention them in a future article,
but I will not forget them. The one question that still remains, the one that has haunted most people since time began. I am going to do some more extensive research, but I don't imagine I will be able to gladden the day with any new answers.

SHOULD THERE BE A FEDERAL LAW AGAINST THE CHARACTER ASSASSINATION OF A U.S. PRESIDENT?

The "inside job" theory of who caused the 9-11 atrocity has reached the altitude NASA uses when they apply their jargon about the spacecraft having gone too far to turn back. That is to say that it appears to have accelerated far enough to begin to cause some serious and long-lasting mental trauma to the American institute of education. Is there even an educational institution remaining in this nation considering the plight of the public schools. The "inside job" theory about the day America was attacked by a now defined enemy of America and America's freedoms, is one of the most outrageous and hateful exercises of free speech that I have ever witnessed. In a nutshell, the theory blatantly accuses President George W. Bush of the slaughter of more than 3,000 innocent people; this inside theory about the President being guilty of conspiring with other American officials, political and military, to commit what would be the worst massacre of American citizens in the history of the United States. In terms used to describe such heinous crimes, the scenes of these premeditated murders were absent of bodies; the only evidence that young children, babies, adult men and women were murdered en masse was the few body parts found in the rubble of the two WTC building.

Never in my conscious imagination did I ever suspect this crime against humanity and America was caused by an American. To suspect that the human beings who premeditated such a criminal execution and burning slaughter was the President of the United States of America and some of his staff never entered my mind; surely it was the one crime the President would never be accused of masterminding. In my mind, the zaniest of the zany partisans would never try to cast suspicions on the President or any American government official with such a crime. I was wrong. As the smoke and ash settled, rumors abounded inside of America's prisons and mental facilities "Inside job, inside job!" Patients and the prisoners concocted lengthy and detailed narratives about who did it and how it was done.
As incarcerated inmates and mental patients related their lies, reporters from the networks listened and took notes, whispering to their associates about what kind of political impact headlines of that nature would have on public opinion about the Republican administration. Brutal as this might sound, it is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
When it comes to political assassination, there are no blanks. This type of insanity inside some of the nations newspapers became clearly visible in newsprint. "It was Bush and Chaney," stated an individual interviewed in a man-on-street type of interview. "No, no, no, "I said to myself. "Not another conspiracy theory, but yes, yes, yes." And then I heard the guarantee of an encore when radio hosts said:"Another conspiracy theory is brewing."
Mention of the possibility of a genuine Presidential involvement was audible on network television; minor and ineffective politicians with reputations for minds that suffered frequent electrical interference began lining up at the podiums for their opportunity to cast accusations. Time passed. Then, as one might have anticipated, Hollywood reared its ugly head and the "Inside job" propaganda was born without the slightest labor pain.
At last, Hollywood had all the backdrops they needed, the fine-tooth editors were working overtime searching for ways to edit or rewrite statements. One director and producer after another met with screenwriters high up in the Hollywood Hills to create the body of evidence they felt was needed to make such a production believable. They had no problem with belief, they had already vowed to believe each other's lies, but they were smart enough to know that most Americans wouldn't buy such outlandish accusations without some kind of evidence. Thus, it was up to them, the elite group of malcontents who hate America and everything about America except the currency, those anti-patriotic partisans whose only pledge of allegiance is to their own vanity to make America believe that President George Bush ordered the World Trade Center 9/11 Massacre.
Who are these people accusing the President of murder? I do not have to mention their names, America knows their names. And most Americans, I believe, have an opinion about these celebrities who are using their every energy and millions of dollars to undermine the credibility of the President and the United States. Can these losers be prosecuted for treason or sedition? Evidently not, thanks to freedom of speech. What can be done to combat these enemies from within? Perhaps we can hope that their tax records will be examined time and again; we can hope that they are refused their favorite seats at their favorite posh dinner houses; we can hope that what friends they have left will begin to be concerned about their own public relations image and delete these ex-television hosts from their address books. The movie producers and directors can be disciplined for their lies and disrespect through shunning them and their anti-American propaganda. And finally, we can pray that they will renounce their American citizenship and leave America, never to return, never to soil its gentle earth again. Can we then, with smiles, wave good riddance to the likes of __________, ___________, and _______________. Unfortunately, their absence might be short-lived. I recall barges filled with garbage and trash we tried to export to Europe? They were refused and returned to America.
One major concern of mine is that the textbook publishers will fall prey to such lies and further deteriorate the history of the United States. Monitoring textbooks is simple enough, but we need to be listening for comments that might . Listening to our children's comments about what happened at school is highly recommended. Be listening for the first comment you hear them make about the 9-11 tragedy. If you hear a child make a comment about how President Bush and his friends made the World Trade Center explode and fall down, we will know it's time to make some serious changes in our nation's education system. But, of course, we were already aware of this ...weren't we?

RIGHT OR LEFT KIND OF DAY? Take Your Choice...

RIGHT OR LEFT KIND OF DAY? Take Your Choice...

Another new day to live, enjoy and remember. Life goes on, thankfully. It's great to be alive, awake and enjoying morning coffee and spring weather. What is scheduled for today that is a must do? Is there really anything that pressing? Not really pressing in an earth-shaking kind of way. Earth-shaking kind of way...?

Right away my mind is creating an image; it's not a positive image. I am suddenly viewing certain favorite areas of southern California falling into the ocean. Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Laguna Beach, the beach where the swallows remember to return to each year, San Juan Capistrano; then there's all of the beach areas around San Diego right on down the Baja to Ensenada, the last place I visited.

Inquiring about anything earth-shaking is not the right way to begin the day. Let me think of another silent question that will help find direction for this new day. A question my uncle Jim asked frequently when I was a boy came to mind. Immediately upon waking and making my youthful presence known, he would say, "Good morning, Robert." Then, he asked "...what's new today?" It was the kind of morning inquisition that confuses a five year old.

I recall how odd I thought his question was. After all, I was only five, or perhaps even four, I'm not sure. Does anyone remember when their mind began recording memories?

"I don't know," I probably employed to answer his question. After responding, I searched my mind for something new, something new I could use for composing a more intelligent reply. "Gooseberry pie," I said, remembering that my grandmother had baked a pie that was jam-packed and overfilled with those delicious berries in a thick, sweet and shining sauce the previous afternoon.

Asking me the whereabout of the pie, I confessed I had eaten it all. He wanted to say something. He said nothing at the time. I remember being veryuncomfortable and downright sick at the stomach shortly thereafter. So, that question, what's new? has a special place in my gastrointestinal memories. I have not eaten gooseberries since.

How does all of this fit into the title I selected for posting this first blog? It doesn't, but it's a more joyful subject than the news, the subject I had planned on using when I started. The right of it all was the Fox News Network while the left of it all was the CNN News. One is right and the other is left, but both are usually wrong about one thing or another.
The thought about my uncle and my grandmother surfaced and wiped out all of the world's misery for a short while. The memory in the mind is a valuable gift. I'm thankful for some great memories.

But don't let this first post cause you to assume future postings will be akin to watching home movies. For one thing, home movies were for the wealthy when I was a boy; a few black and white snapshots and a pennant collection substitute for squeaky celluloid film on a big spool creaking in a dark room called "back when I was a kid..." Nope, it won't happen here.

Did I just mention pennants? Those long and triangular felt memorablia kind of souveniers kids of the 50s thumb-tacked to the walls around the house or in their rooms to prove they had been everywhere in the world--almost. That reminds me of a summer vacation trip to Mt.Rushmore and the Black Hills in a 1953 Hudson Hornet with canvas water bags hanging on the chrome bumpers when we started out across the white-hot and baking kind of desert terrain called the Badlands....

For Today, Robert L. Huffstutter
